Akvárium Malawi is situated in the baroque part of the late horse stable(built 1688-96) in the castle in Lednice na Moravě.
Project for this building was made by austrian architect Johan Bernhard from Erlach(1656-1723).

This exposition was open after large reconstruction of very damaged building,which took a lot of work and financial charges.
Reconstruction was finished after one year of hard work and Akvárium Malawi was open in May 1993.

Our exposition is placed on 360m2 with total capacity of 40.000 liters of water.
You can see in aquariums whole water world beginning in Africa,across South America and Indonesia.
In particular tanks is possible to watch fauna of african lakes Malawi and Tanganjika,cat fish and piranhas from South America.

You can be fascinated by colourful world of coral fish,invertibrates,rays,poisonous lion fish and many others animals from the ocean.There is terarium with some sorts of turtles in our exposition as well.

Adults : 40 Kč.
Family : 110 Kč.
Children, students, pensioners : 20 Kč.
